The Coat For Spring- Trench Coat

Hi Everyone I hope you have got through the first day of the week o.k. I must say the change in weather has got me chomping at the bit to start my Spring Wardrobe over haul, but I am restraining myself as you ‘never cast a clout until May is out’ or something like that!. With the glimpse of sun comes a little shuffle round in the outerwear department, and for me that means out comes the old faithful ‘Trench coat’. You really cannot go wrong with a Trench coat it is so versatile for so many occasions. The one im wearing is from Primark (similar here)! I bought it 2 years ago for £28 and its still going strong. Saying that though, at the end of the Summer I have my eye on a few more pricey Trench’s for when they go down in the Sale, as I’m not sure whether this one will see me through another Spring/Summer. This is what I called ‘backward spending’. I will talk more about this in future posts. As a Trench gives you that extra outer layer to protect you from a normal British down pour, but yet keeps you cool if that gorgeous sunshine comes a calling.
Will you be trying a Trench Coat this Spring? Let me know in the comments below. Also, have a goosey gander at the Trench Coats below that I have my beady eye on.

Wearing Basics- Cos White Shirt

Hello Everyone Hope you are all having a good week so far. This is going to be the first in my Wearing Basics Series, and I thought I would start off with one of my faves- The White Shirt. One of my go-to places for a White Shirt is COS. If your not familiar with the brand, then I am not surprised because I only stumbled across them the beginning of last year when I was in London and then went back up North and found the nearest is in Manchester Selfridges as a concessesion. If you do manage to find one or feel brave enough to buy on line, I would definitely give them a go. The one I am wearing is called ‘The Shirt with the voluminous back’ I like how it is as it is a little bit different then the average white shirt. It has great detail.
The White shirt is a superb basic to have in your wardrobe as you can style in so many different ways, so if you spend a bit extra on a quality piece then cost per wear it works out to be a ‘saving’!! Maybe at some point in the future I will share how many ways I have found to style it. I am wearing the shirt this time with my faithful River Island Camel Culottes which I picked up last summer and my Zara Ankle boots, which I have to admit I am getting sooo bored of wearing boots and are just itching to crack out my NEW backless Loafers.
Let me know in the comments below whether you like a good White Shirt and what you will be wearing yours with? Have a nosey at some other White Shirts that I like.

Hello Hall Styling

Hello,
I used to write the for the blog NaybeautyMUA, but have found it increasingly difficult to keep Richards and Mine going. So its with a heavy heart that I let NaybeautyMUA go. If you have been following my blog many thanks for your comments and readership, its much appreciated.

If you have been following me on my social media platforms (see below) you would have noticed that I have been very quiet of late. I decided to have a complete Social Media Detox while re-branding our whole website and thought I would see how long I could go without it. So far I am on week three and I honestly don’t miss it and found I really could live without it. We all know though that its not enough now in business just to have a website you also need to be present for customer interaction too on social media channels and thats why I will be keeping up with my social media channels but instead of being ‘mine’ they will become the businesses. If you do follow me, you do not have to do anything you will just notice a name change!!.
With that in mind, I have an EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT to make!! I have decided to collaborate with my darling husband and migrate my blog over to his website Richard Hall Styling. As he has a Blog on his website for the business that I was also writing for, it made sense for me to start to put them together. If you have been following me for a while, you will know that my husband Richard and myself have a salon in Lancashire. Richard is the Hair Stylist and Colour Technician and I am the Makeup Artist and Stylist. We thought since I have gone back to work in the salon permanently, it made sense instead of working independently to join forces together. So I still get the joy of writing, videoing and photographing but incorporate the salon feel and vibe at the same time. You will still find Hair, Makeup Tutorials, Hauls and Vlogs. Nothing has really changed just my name and domain.
So I say a fond farewell to NaybeautyMUA and Hello Hall Styling! Please find below all my new social media channels and check out Richard and my NEW Intro Video to our YouTube Channel.
Come and Say Hi….
Thank you for all your support and understanding. See you on Thursday for another exciting Video!!.
Pleated Trousers For Spring

Pleated Trousers
I know Spring talk already, but with the latest sunny spells we have been having in the UK. My mind has been turned to the excitement of all things new in nature and style. Its getting to that tricky transitional stage where I don’t want to buy anything new, so I have been re-shopping my own wardrobe to find new pieces again!. The pleated trousers that you see in the pictures were a panic buy when I had realized the week of a award ceremony that I had NOTHING to wear. I tore around our local TOPSHOP in a complete tizz and saw these and thought ‘O.k I can do something with this’ and lo and behold they have become a firm favorite in my wardrobe. Whether you are wanting to dress them up (see here in my vlog) or how I have styled them casually with a pair of Cons and a leather jacket. Sometimes these things are just meant to be!.
Shop my look below for inspiration.
Thanks for reading guys and look out for Thursday when my BIG new Hair reveal video. In the meantime, the children are on half term so I will be a bit MIA. You can keep up to date by clicking on any of the links below.
I would love it if you would check out my social media. Click on the links below and I will see you there!.

The Bag Lady Look

Hey Everyone, I hope you have had a good weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will remember this skirt back in August 2016, when I picked it up from Zara. I thought this would be a good illustration to show what works for your body shape, aaannnd what doesn’t. I love Maxi skirts, FACT- Maxi skirts do not love me. I know its sad, but if you look at the difference from my last blog post HERE you will see how wearing different styles can and cannot suit you. I am a Emotional dresser. When I wake up in the morning, I decide what I am going to wear to how I am feeling that day. I first realized I was like this when I was 19 years old. Back then I was working at TOPSHOP and part of being a Brand Manager, you had to work at other Stores to help out. I was sent to Manchester Trafford Center store, where I met Sophie. She was 26 years old and had a eccentric sense of dress. One day she was a Skater girl, next day she was Posh spice, then Boho chick with braided locks and a pair of Birken stocks to boot!! I just thought, ‘that is how I like to dress’ and from then on I have carried on being a Chameleon with my dress sense, not really following trends, but on what suits my body shape and how I feel on the day. Which is very detrimental to my bank balance, but hey I enjoy it.
So back to the outfit at hand, today I was feeling slightly Boho with a sniff of Biker chick with my boots and leather Jacket. Oh and the snugly Jumper cause its FREEZING!! As you can see Maxi skirts instantly add width to the hips and the thick long Jumper hides my curves and makes my shoulders look larger. Do I care? Not a jot, because I was feeling it at the time, but it may be the last time I wear it…for now!
Do you have items in your wardrobe that you feel dont suit you, but wear any way? Let me know in the comments below, as I would love to know your thoughts.
- All Saints Bale Leather Jacket
- Topshop Jumper (old) Similar
- Zara Lace Maxi Skirt (old)
