How are we at Thursday already and more importantly April!! Its mad how we are now in full swing for Spring! While I have been musing on what fluid pieces to add to my wardrobe, I will be sharing this in the next couple weeks. I have been itching to add some more spring tones to my wardrobe and when I spotted these perfect babies from Topshop- Journey Patent Mary Jane Shoes these fitted the bill. I cannot begin to tell you how versatile these shoes are. They look great with jeans, Straight leg trousers, culottes, pencil skirt, and that is to name a few. Today I put them with my stepped Jeans from Topshop, Band tee from Primark. I finally found a band tee that I could get on board with Pink Floyd, what a band! My old faithful Kaleidoscope Faux Fur Jacket as it was a cool, crisp spring day, at this time of year most faux fur jackets have gone into the sale and you can pick yourself a real bargain and you may still get a months wear and pop it away to bring our for next Autumn/Winter. Admittedly the shoes do look Nude but they are more of a blush nude, so I have slightly dipped my toe into this current colour, which literally sends my inner tomboy screaming for the nearest tree to climb as I find the colour Pink just a bit too girly.
I hope you liked these recent purchase and if you want to know more about my journey with the whole Capsule Wardrobe, look out for my first video on this series on Sunday on our Youtube channel to learn all my tips and tricks on getting your perfect Spring Wardrobe together.

Hi Everyone I hope you have got through the first day of the week o.k. I must say the change in weather has got me chomping at the bit to start my Spring Wardrobe over haul, but I am restraining myself as you ‘never cast a clout until May is out’ or something like that!. With the glimpse of sun comes a little shuffle round in the outerwear department, and for me that means out comes the old faithful ‘Trench coat’. You really cannot go wrong with a Trench coat it is so versatile for so many occasions. The one im wearing is from Primark (similar here)! I bought it 2 years ago for £28 and its still going strong. Saying that though, at the end of the Summer I have my eye on a few more pricey Trench’s for when they go down in the Sale, as I’m not sure whether this one will see me through another Spring/Summer. This is what I called ‘backward spending’. I will talk more about this in future posts. As a Trench gives you that extra outer layer to protect you from a normal British down pour, but yet keeps you cool if that gorgeous sunshine comes a calling.
Will you be trying a Trench Coat this Spring? Let me know in the comments below. Also, have a goosey gander at the Trench Coats below that I have my beady eye on.

Hey Everyone, I hope you have had a good weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will remember this skirt back in August 2016, when I picked it up from Zara. I thought this would be a good illustration to show what works for your body shape, aaannnd what doesn’t. I love Maxi skirts, FACT- Maxi skirts do not love me. I know its sad, but if you look at the difference from my last blog post HERE you will see how wearing different styles can and cannot suit you. I am a Emotional dresser. When I wake up in the morning, I decide what I am going to wear to how I am feeling that day. I first realized I was like this when I was 19 years old. Back then I was working at TOPSHOP and part of being a Brand Manager, you had to work at other Stores to help out. I was sent to Manchester Trafford Center store, where I met Sophie. She was 26 years old and had a eccentric sense of dress. One day she was a Skater girl, next day she was Posh spice, then Boho chick with braided locks and a pair of Birken stocks to boot!! I just thought, ‘that is how I like to dress’ and from then on I have carried on being a Chameleon with my dress sense, not really following trends, but on what suits my body shape and how I feel on the day. Which is very detrimental to my bank balance, but hey I enjoy it.
So back to the outfit at hand, today I was feeling slightly Boho with a sniff of Biker chick with my boots and leather Jacket. Oh and the snugly Jumper cause its FREEZING!! As you can see Maxi skirts instantly add width to the hips and the thick long Jumper hides my curves and makes my shoulders look larger. Do I care? Not a jot, because I was feeling it at the time, but it may be the last time I wear it…for now!
Do you have items in your wardrobe that you feel dont suit you, but wear any way? Let me know in the comments below, as I would love to know your thoughts.

On a recent trip to the big smoke (London baby) It was freezing and I was only there for a night so had packed lightly. I decided the only way to keep warm was to put on every piece of clothing I had bought with me. This is where I fell into the smarcasual category teaming my snuggly warm grey hoody and a super smart Isabel Marant Igor Jacket together with my Public Desire Alona OTK Boots for extra warmth and a matched made. It kept me super warm during my swift trip to London and to boot got some good quick pics. I love it when a outfit comes together out of necessity and it proves how when you shop savvy by buying quality, minimal pieces that in your wardrobe you are able to throw 99.9% of your stuff together and it should work perfectly. In next weeks vlog you will see what I was doing in London in the first place, I can tell you it was interesting.

Its certainly true that Winter is great for layering and it is a must to keep from frostbite. Its skys the limit on how much you can and with what you can layer with. Here I present my favorite combo at the moment Skinny Ribbed polarneck, Longline shirt, sometimes a long cardy but today I threw on just a blazer. What a error as I step out into the morning air and was greeted with -1c !! Why did I choose today not to crack out the cardy. Let me get back to THE BLAZER not just any blazer, my baby of the moment Isabel Marant Charcoal grey Igor Single Breasted Blazer. I chose it because its classic in every sense of the word. From the cut, material (Wool- Blend) its just a piece that will never date and I believe its worth it, if you can just save up that bit extra, for longer. I got this one from MatchesFashion.com for a absolute steal. Its still available so if you fancy dipping your toe into a Wool-Blended, fierce tailoring this season get your paws on this one and wear it again and again.
Why not take a gander at my look. Sadly the shirt, Grey turtle neck and boots are last year so I have pop in a couple that are similar.
Thanks for reading and I will see you all on Friday. Take care.

Hello 2017
Well I hope you all had a fantastic first week back at work or your normal routine. I certainly did!! I went on holiday with the family before the children had to go back to school, but then came home to my website had crashed and my LG4 phone, completely died and losing all my photos as Google had stop backing up my photos and I had not noticed. So this is a bit belated.
I wanted to start this post off thanking all of you who comment and have liked, shared and basically been very supportive. I look forward to keep on growing and with going back to work properly in the New Year as my youngest starts nursery (boo) that I will be churning out more content for you all.
I started my blog back in March 2015 and when I look back even to last year how just getting a DSLR in June (Anniversary Gift from the old man) my photos have come on leaps and bounds and it was a real game changer for me. I’m sharing some of my Favorite posts and some that you guys really liked. So here we go…
H&M Fashion Red Knit with ASOS Leather skirt and Camel colour Fedora
I wore this (blog post) back at the beginning of 2016. I loved this Red Jumper from HM (Old stock) (similar) and Leatherette skirt from ASOS as I felt smart, comfortable yet casual. This Jumper I wore endlessly over the last few months until it got so incredibly bobbly that I had to put out to pasture, Or so I thought I had just stored it away and resurrected it bobbles and all for a Lookbook for my YOUTUBE channel I did for Kaleidoscope in December. Such a well loved jumper that I did finally say goodbye to it.
Levis 711, HM Grey Hoody, Leather Jacket and Converse.
This picture makes me laugh so much, as I thought I looked so cool (I didnt) Look at how I have poured myself into my beloved Leather Jacket that I just couldn’t come to terms with, that I had outgrown it (to put it polity). I bought it on a amazing trip to New York when I was 18 years old and now I am (cough) 36 years old its time I will have to let it go. Look at the quality of my photo this was taken on a point and shoot. What a difference to my DSLR photos!!.
Blue smokey eyes
This was my first semi popular makeup tutorial on YouTube and I really enjoyed creating this super easy Smokey Blue eye Makeup tutorial. Why not have a butchers, if you missed this as its quite amusing. Oh and informative of course!.
3 min French Braid For Short Hair Tutorial
Its always the things we think of last minute that strike a cord with others. This is exactly what happened here. I had finished creating a winged eye makeup tutorial and thought it would be fun to quickly braid my fringe (video here). It took me 3 minutes and to date it is my most watched video! It goes to show you never can tell. Why not have a try of this Braid as its a time saver for the mornings when you want a extra 10 minutes in bed!.

Things change
This was my first semi luxe purchase I had saved for the All Saints Bale Leather Jacket for 3 months. You can’t say I didn’t deserve a new one it had been 18 years since my last one!!. I think this was my first proper dabble into fashion blogging and I realized I really liked it. At this point my whole life had been turned upside down, a lot was going on in my personal life. I manage to keep this separate from my blog as long as I could as I was just going through the motions.
My best friend, my confidant, My Mother, was diagnosed with Lung and Thyroid cancer. She had just only beaten breast cancer back in 2012 and here we were again not just facing one, but two major fights on our hands. I say ‘ours’ because I was with my mum every step of the way I wouldn’t of missed any of those appointments, to finally be able to give support to her when she had supported me so much over the years. As things got more intense I began to throw myself more into my blog as I found talking about mundane stuff hair, fashion and make up, gave me a relief from the tenseness of having to process life and death decisions. My mums Lung cancer (never smoked in her life) was spotted by a chest infection that just wouldn’t shift. She is so fortunate to have had such great care from the NHS and Macmillian nurses. Mum is doing really well now but it was such a scary time to see the one you love and admire so much, needing you to step up to the mark. It changed my whole outlook on things, in a good way. Not to sweat the small stuff, trying not to react to drama that having such a big family can create and appreciating little things in life.
Bumble and bumble Surf Infusion Beachy Waves For Short Hair
This was my Bronzy, Beachy look that I loved creating with Bumble and Bumble Surf Infusion. It was so easy with Surf Infusion and I did a tutorial of it on Youtube. It worked very well showing it in our Hair salon as it such a quick technique.
Zara Shirt, Zara Utility Trousers, Zara Pointed Studded pumps, Chloe Georgia Crossbody bag
This photo is my collaboration with UnCloset a Luxury Handbag service. Look how beautiful the Chloe Georgia bag is? I loved using it and it photographed perfectly. It was a scorching hot day at the Trafford center in Manchester and I was melting taking these photos. A far cry away from how the weather is now. From now on you see my photos improving as I have my baby Nikon D5300 DSLR its a cracking camera. Have a look at the Amazona Loewe Bag and my favorite Celine Diamond bag.

This was my first collaboration with the a fantastic brand Kaleidoscope. This gorgeous Zig Zag Faux Fur Jacket (sold out Similar) is so incredibly warm and every where I wear it someone always ask where it is from. I then got the opportunity to film a Lookbook how to style a party dress 3 ways.I styled the gorgeous Animal Print velvet dress is was a breeze to style. It was so much fun to film and edit and I cannot wait to do another one.

I hope you will carry on joining me for the ride. If you get a chance please take a look and my YouTube channel its coming on slowly!!. Take care and don’t forget to shop my pieces below.
Its FRIDAY!! I am so excited as it is the end of the week, the children have finished school for two weeks and I have finished at the salon. I have done a really easy makeup look which is one of my fave,as you cant beat a Gold eye and Red lip combo to make you feel special. Why not have a try yourself as I really think its ‘do-able’.

The Jumper or Sweater Dress
Happy Monday Guys!!. I hope the week has started off well for you. Never Have I felt it more right now than the need to feel as ‘Snug As A Bug In A Rug’ with the fires lit and and the dark early evenings and mornings, my body and mind just need comfort, I think that resonates with a lot of us. So for me a Jumper dress gives me all the comfort and snug-ability (I know I make up a lot of words!) That I need for this time of year. This Dress I Picked up from Zara a few weeks ago, sadly it has completely sold out, but I do have some alternatives for you that I have been converting (similar). Believe or not this Jumper dress is a Small and it completely drowns my petite frame, but hides all the bits that I’m just not keen on. I paired it with these ‘oh so comfy’ Leather High Heel Ankle Boots from Zara ( I promise I don’t have shares in that place!!) to balance the bulkiness of the jumper. I also popped on my Bag of the moment from Camelia Roma Tracolla its really deceiving as it holds all my essentials when it is just me,myself, and I.

I would love it if you would check out my social media. Click on the links below and I will see you there!
Thanks for stopping by and Watching my first LOOKBOOK!! When Kaleidoscope first contacted me and challenged me to style one of there PARTY Dresses, I was like ‘YEAH’. So here it is and if you want to see my full review and details on other clothing mentioned, check out my blog post on this dress which has all the links.
Today I am highlighting a gorgeous dress from Kaleidoscope. They challenged me to be able to style it 3 ways. Well, if you have been reading my blog for a while you will know I cannot resist a challenge. I chose the Animal Print Velvet Dress to use as my basis. Animal Print and velvet being key trends this season and I thought it would be easier with my style. The dress is a stretchy velour which drapes around the body elegantly. With its rauching around the tummy which flatters, if you are hiding a wee food baby or if like me its actually where you carry your weight, then this dress is a winner. If that wasn’t enough, to top it off, the sleeves are the right length (below the elbow) to hide any fear of bingo wings making appearance.
My first look is My Go to Work Look and I popped on a Leatherette Pencil skirt from ASOS, here I wish I had worn tights, but just forgot all about them, until I rushed out the door and the icy blast hit them and turned them a rather unattractive shade of blue! I popped on my Carvela Court shoes and my Jaeger Wool Wrap Camel Coat to keep it all very fancy!!

Second Look is My Play Day Look. This look I feel is perfect a Mummy day. I teamed the dress with a warm snugly Red Jumper from HM (last year, Similar) which kept me warm, but also went well with the animal print. I also put on thick black tights and 90’s Buckled, Biker chunky boots from New Look which are perfect for running around the park. For outerwear I teamed it with my All Saints Bales Leather Jacket to finish the look.

Third Look is the final, My Night Out Look which the dress just holds its own. I teamed this with my &other Stories Red Snake effect Sandals and Weekday Clutch Bag which is perfect to size to fit your bits and bobs for a night out. Once again, I whipped out the Jaegar Wool Wrap Camel Coat which I am hammering this season as it goes with EVERYTHING!
I hope you enjoyed my offering on how to get your moneys worth out of a fabulous dress. You don’t just have to wear it for one night wonder, when you put your mind to it you mix textures, colours and prints the possibilities are endless. I would like to say a big Thankyou to Kaleidoscope for commissioning the challenge I really enjoyed it! If you havent taken a look at Kaleidoscope website then I wholeheartly recommend it.
