Spring Haul and Lookbook Final Cut
Huge Spring Haul| Building My Spring Capsule Wardrobe
Todays video I am showing the items that I have been picking up over the last 6 weeks from Topshop, Asos, Zara and many more, to add to my Spring Capsule Wardrobe.
I still really enjoy practicing the whole Capsule Wardrobe malarkey. If anything I have found that it has helped me to spend less and really hone down my style, to the point that I need less and less clothes. In this fast pace life where you feel you always have to be onto the next thing, it is really refreshing to not have to keep up with that because you become content with what you have and can then spend your money on other things.
I have mentioned before in a previous post why we made the decision last year that we were not going to waste our hard earned money on just STUFF. We wanted to spend our money on experiences instead with our family, hence that was one of the reasons why we went to Florida this year. We had got so caught up over the last 5 years doing our old house up, that we had forgotten what it was like to go on a real family holiday where we had such a relaxing time together. It made such a change where normally everyday we are all going our separate ways and may only see each other at mealtimes. When you are forced to spend 24/7 together, it is so easy to forget that we really do enjoy our time together.
Have you had tried the Capsule Wardrobe mind set yet? I would highly recommend having a go. If you want to save money, or you always want to have something to wear that you love in your wardrobe. If you do decide to have a go let me know in the comments below. Look out in the next few videos where I will be re-styling some of the items that I bought in this haul.
All items that have been mentioned are down below. Some I haven’t been able to but have put a similar link in its place.

New Beginnings

Round Up 2017
I thought it would be good to round up 2017. It has been a eventful year which I think most of us can testify too. The beginning of the year started off to a anxious start with a serious illness in my family. I dont talk much on here about my home life, but I do feel when it begins to spill into my work life its good to just clarify things. In contrast, My blog was really taking off and I felt I was finally being heard. If I’m honest though, I was not happy. Any Bloggers reading this will sympathize, It is hard work blogging if you want to do it professionally. I felt I was putting so much effort into keeping up to date with all social media, uploading videos, blog posts, working part time at our salon, oh yeah, and being a full time mum. I constantly felt overwhelmed and that I was giving only a little bit of myself to everything and that I was spreading myself so thinly, that I wasn’t succeeding in anything.
“We invest so much of our time into strangers liking or not liking the content we put out.”
It all came to ahead in February, when after a family holiday and I wanted to take a week off the internet. I came back feeling refreshed, revitalized, but only to find out that a week away, a lot had change!. My engagement had gone REALLY down!! Instagram algorithms had kicked in and you were penalized if you did not engage for a few days. All that effort I had been putting in, one week away and your pictures begin not to be as well received. How frustrating! This is a common theme in Social media world, it made me realize that if I dont slow things down, I would loose my sanity. We invest so much of our time into strangers liking or not liking the content we put out. I decided instead of keep moaning about it, to take decisive action. I chatted to my husband my concerns, and he really wanted me to join forces with him and put all my effort into our salon website/Social Media. I took three weeks off and worked on renaming all social media handles and redesigning our website. It made sense to join forces with my dearly beloved to help more with our salon workload as a team.

In March 2017 We re-launched as HallStyling. It made sense to collaborate, as my content had begin to visit different realms and Naybeautymua just didn’t fit with me anymore. Over the last few months, I have honed down our content to just twice a week, and I have varied our content from makeup and hair tutorials, to starting the Capsule Wardrobe series. Producing vlogs and outfit ideas to help share mine and Richards expertise.
Going forward, I will be introducing a more New series to our YouTube channel. I really enjoy making videos the most, and although it has a small growth, I feel I will always be a slow burner on YouTube. I believe over time it will grow. I just dont want to be a “cookie cutter” Youtuber producing content that appeal to masses to get the subscribers. I am aiming to do a chatty vlog style Monday Makeup, which I will upload on a Tuesday. It will be between 5-10 mins of me putting on my makeup and chatting about New products and how they are performing. I want to concentrate on putting out content thats not stuffy and over edited with lights and a soup-up camera, abit more casual approach. I will still be doing outfit posts as they do get the most views on our blog, but I will be looking at the more practical side of it. Outfit diaries, How to Style is what I am looking at more to produce this year. I want people to find our content helpful, yet entertaining.
I have come to terms that I will never be a successful blogger and I am o.k with that. I have seen first hand how much it costs trying to be at the top. I just cannot give that much of myself, I just do not think its balanced way of living. For me, my motto has always been, ‘I work to live’ and I want to be able to balance everything I would like to achieve. There is so much more to life than Work, work, work, but as long as I create content that I enjoy and that hopefully you guys enjoy, thats the only thing that matters.

Unfortunately, having a capsule wardrobe some the items I am wearing are not available to buy. Do not fret, I have scoured the internet to find similar pieces so you can create your own unique look. Enjoy!!
Styling a Midi Skirt

If you have had your eyes peeled for the latest trends you will know that you can not escape two things, 1. Checks are everywhere 2. And so is the colour RED. That being said Midi skirts crept in last season and have given no signs of leaving any time soon. If you have been reading our blog for a while, you will know I could not give two hoots on whats on trend, but more if that item suits my figure. For me, my style is always evoling, because I am a emotional dresser! In the morning depending on my mood, and what I am doing that day, dictates to what colour and style I will adopt for that day. I always want to push my boundaries to never get bored of my capsule wardrobe and for me trying out different styles and making them work for my figure is what its about. The Midi skirt has wangled its way into my capsule wardrobe. Today I have styled it with a soft, snuggly Jumper from George@ASDA Simple! The colours really complement each other, and when it gets a bit more chilly I will add a pair of black tights to keep warm.
This Checked Midi Skirt is from Zara and is quite a thick material which is great for the upcoming cold winter we are expecting. It has three large buttons down the side and splits at a more modest level. Im looking forward over the next weeks seeing what this skirt will also work well in my wardrobe. Im in the process of creating a video on ‘Shopping my wardrobe’ where I will be re-working keys pieces from my wardrobe to get some fresh ideas on new outfits without spending a penny!. Around November time I start to get itchy feet or hands should I say, as I start to get a bit bored of the new items I added at the end of august, but I dont need to buy anything new so there is the tug of war I have. I am determined not be sucked in by all this fast fashion and overspending on things when it is not necessary. I feel in the blogger world that we can be the worst for this. With PR brands throwing their latest items to try, its hard to strike the balance. Sorry about the rant I think this is subject I might leave for another blog post!

5 Autumn/Fall Outfits Inspiration Over 5 Days
The Only Shade Of Red You Will Need This Autumn

If you remember at the beginning of last year seeing all over Instagram the Bella Freud stunning Red 1970 Jumper. The colour of red was very striking, and was complementary against the stone wash high waisted jeans. The only down side was the price tag, a whopping £290!!!. For some thats a reasonable amount to ask for a jumper, and in some ways it is as its made with Merino wool which is the finest and softest wool of all time. Saying that I cannot bring myself to spend that kind of money on a jumper. There was no need to fear because at some point the highstreet fashion gods heard my cry and BAM!! New Look brought out this champion of a Jumper that I am wearing today. Now granted it does not say 1970 on it, but what it does have is the hue of red that is so on point this season and is SUPER flattering for all skin tones. What I am focusing on today is this Beautiful blue toned red that is in all the shops. When worn on your top half, it sharpens the whites of your eyes to make them sparkle and why not also match your lipstick to your top and you will have the sparkly-list gnashers in town!.
Everyone needs a RED knit of some kind in their Autumn Wardrobe, so I have pick out some of the best on the high street right now for you.

Capsule Wardrobe Autumn 2017| Planning and Organizing
Checked Blazer Craze

Hope you guys are all o.k. Since August I have been scrolling through my Pinterest (have a butchers at ours here) and was seeing so much Prince of Wales check that by the time it came to September and I was limbering up to kick start my Autumn Wardrobe, I had started to get checked print fatigue!. I had seen so much of it that I am now sick of it. Most of the prints are in this grey and black and when you already have a grey blazer, a black and grey jacquard blazer, I ask myself do I really need another grey and black blazer?? It would not be in-keeping of my capsule wardrobe ethos to buy something I clearly don’t need just because its in ‘Fashurn!!’
What I have been looking, at is a more camel base check, similar to Burberry’s choice for this season which could really freshen up my wardrobe and be super versatile. Then comes price “how much can I afford” or more “how much am I willing to pay?”. Imagine my excitement when a Bloggers Pic (KatesCloset.uk) caught my eye, she was wearing a grey and black check from a brand I had not heard of…… Bershka. I went online and was so pleased to see some really nice pieces at a affordable price. I took a look at the blazer and low and behold they had it in a camel check for only £25.99 Bargain!. I bought it instantly, and I received it a day later… RESULT!.

The Masculine Blazer from Bershka really is very good quality and is fully lined which for £25.99 you are really getting a lot for your coin. I chose this one in the medium as I wanted a more structured fit,and to steer away from the more over sized silhouette. It has these two darts down the front which really helps to accentuate your waist, which is really flattening. Introducing more camel colours has breathed new life into my wardrobe and I am looking forward to styling this with other items. I would really recommend having a look at Bershka if you are thinking of picking up some great items for Autumn. I thought I would incorporate a bit of lady of the manor meet disco diva with the kick flare trouser!. The Cashmere Polar neck was a bargain from Marks and Spencer in the Sale back in March and the black flared trousers are from Mango. I finished the look with a simple pair of sock boots from ZARA.
