Wardrobe Essentials- Ankle Boots

Leather Ankle Boots
I hope you are enjoying the holidays? I am! I am certainly make use of my husband being off and taking a few moments to talk about one of my favorite purchases of 2016. I think its safe to say that last years Chelsea Boots have had their day, and its time for them to move over and allow the Leather Ankle Boot to take center stage. I love a Chelsea boot like the next girl, but a Ankle Boot will always have a special place in my heart. I remember my very first Black Leather Ankle boot was from Oasis and they were Victoriana trend which was strong in 2000-2001. They had a cute heel and laced up to just under the calf. Im not sure what happened to them, but when I caught sight of these boots from Zara it took me back to that period of time. These Leather High Heel Ankle boots are super comfy. The leather gives in all the right places and has great stitching detail along the toe and sides, finishing with a side zip. I styled it really simply with Black JDY Turtle Neck from ASOS, a pair of dark blue Denim Straight Leg Jeans from 7ForAllMankind. I hacked off about 7 inches and frayed the hem myself. They are six years old and I love doing things like that, personalizing old items and giving them a new lease of life. To finish off, my blazer of the moment, oversized Herringbone Blazer from Zara. I have been having a frenzy on styling these babies with the rest of the items in my wardrobe. They go with so many different items and change a whole look every time.
Have you grab your perfect pair of Ankle Boots? Would you wear these ones I have chosen? Let me know in the comments below. I will have a Makeup tutorial video, Sparkly Sliver Smokey Eye up on Thursday and My Beauty Must Haves for 2016 video on the following Monday. I am then going to have a week off with the children before they go back to school and will be back raring to go for 2017!! Thank you so much for your support over this last year, I look forward to seeing what 2017 has in store!!.
Why not shop my alternatives to this look. A girl can dream can’t she??

Over The Knee Boots- Public Desire

Over the Knee Boots
I remember when Over the knee boots first came on the scene back in 2010-11 maybe even before then, and they were just not me. I didn’t like the styles at the time, a lot were lace up and it looked like too much effort to me. This year I was determined to embrace them as I had seen on Pinterest some good pairing from others and to really put my back into it, to hunt out my perfect pair. Believe me I have been through plenty, until I just stumbled across these beauties from Public Desire through ASOS. I had given up hope and was thinking that Over the knee boots were never going to be. You see my main problem is that my thighs are disproportion, I wont bore you with the details but they are far to baggy around the top of the boot thus leaving a flappy piece of leather that is neither use to man or beast. Anyway I digress, I saw these in the Black Friday sales and thought ‘oh why not’. Im so glad I did, as the quality is remarkable for hold it…. £31!! yes you read right, such a steal. They are a faux leather upper with a pull on style that has a ankle zip which helps to ease the foot in nicely. Don’t take my word for it go and have a butchers, as they are still on ASOS.
My first outfit
I teamed these bad boys with my High waisted Jeans from Asos, Zara Oversized Jumper dress(sold out) Similar and Zara oversized Blazer which I thought be perfect for work, lunch date a more smarter approach.
My second outfit
Was same on the bottom with a camel cable knit from Primark and my trusty Kaleidoscope Zig zag faux fur coat which I had literally waited all year just to sing ‘Boots and the fur’ the song from Flo rida Low, sad I know!!. These boots are so comfy as the heel is just that right height, that can let you walk all day long in them.

Are you a fan of the over knee boots? or are you like me and need some convincing? Let me know in the comments below.

One Party Dress Styled 3 Ways- Ft Kaleidoscope

The Challenge
Today I am highlighting a gorgeous dress from Kaleidoscope. They challenged me to be able to style it 3 ways. Well, if you have been reading my blog for a while you will know I cannot resist a challenge. I chose the Animal Print Velvet Dress to use as my basis. Animal Print and velvet being key trends this season and I thought it would be easier with my style. The dress is a stretchy velour which drapes around the body elegantly. With its rauching around the tummy which flatters, if you are hiding a wee food baby or if like me its actually where you carry your weight, then this dress is a winner. If that wasn’t enough, to top it off, the sleeves are the right length (below the elbow) to hide any fear of bingo wings making appearance.
My first look is My Go to Work Look and I popped on a Leatherette Pencil skirt from ASOS, here I wish I had worn tights, but just forgot all about them, until I rushed out the door and the icy blast hit them and turned them a rather unattractive shade of blue! I popped on my Carvela Court shoes and my Jaeger Wool Wrap Camel Coat to keep it all very fancy!!

Second Look is My Play Day Look. This look I feel is perfect a Mummy day. I teamed the dress with a warm snugly Red Jumper from HM (last year, Similar) which kept me warm, but also went well with the animal print. I also put on thick black tights and 90’s Buckled, Biker chunky boots from New Look which are perfect for running around the park. For outerwear I teamed it with my All Saints Bales Leather Jacket to finish the look.

Third Look is the final, My Night Out Look which the dress just holds its own. I teamed this with my &other Stories Red Snake effect Sandals and Weekday Clutch Bag which is perfect to size to fit your bits and bobs for a night out. Once again, I whipped out the Jaegar Wool Wrap Camel Coat which I am hammering this season as it goes with EVERYTHING!

I hope you enjoyed my offering on how to get your moneys worth out of a fabulous dress. You don’t just have to wear it for one night wonder, when you put your mind to it you mix textures, colours and prints the possibilities are endless. I would like to say a big Thankyou to Kaleidoscope for commissioning the challenge I really enjoyed it! If you havent taken a look at Kaleidoscope website then I wholeheartly recommend it.
Which outfit did you like the best? Which one would you wear? Let me know in the comments below. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday when I have a Youtube Video going live of a Lookbook, so keep your eyes peeled for that, click here to subscribe.

Wardrobe Essentials- Camel Coat

Wardrobe Essentials-Jaegar Camel Coat
Hello Everyone doesn’t Monday come round quick! I hope you have had a lovely weekend and Im kicking off with a oldie but a goodie – The Camel Coat.
The Camel Coat joined my wardrobe family at the back end of last year. It was one of those purchases where I had seen a few ones that I liked but was just not willing to take the plunge, because of the price. Then low and behold this beauty flashed before me while I was steaming through our local T K Maxx, as you have to go through there to get to other stores in the shopping center, Clever eh?! I tried it on and instantly I felt the connection of what only a well made garment can give you, and I knew it was worth the price as it had been reduced by 75% – RESULT.
This coat is from Jaegar, and is so well made (of course!) and when I put it on, it just falls onto the right places and makes anything I put it with, just that little bit more special. The Colour is that right shade of camel, if you have seen many Camel coats, you will know that they vary in shade. This is the better shade and is so soft to the touch, yet still structure enough to hang well on the torso. Sadly, it is no longer available from T K Maxx, but is back in store for full price. Definitely worth the investment. I teamed mine for a classier look, with a white blouse from Matalan (old), a Leatherette Skirt from ASOS (last year) and a pair of court shoes from Carvela. Oh and not forgetting my friend Celine (Diamond Shoulder bag) who is very demanding, and easily rivals, if not stills the show from my camel coat.

Casual it up
My second look is a more laid back look, but just to show how versatile this coat is, that it just works on so many levels. I paired it with a oversized Grey wool jumper from HM, Topshop MOM High waisted Jeans, Adidas Stan Smiths and of course Celine Diamond Shoulder Bag. This is one look I wear on repeat as it it never fails to tick all the boxes for me in looking presentable, but on point!

How to Style: Pink Lace Pencil Skirt

With Spring now banging at the door the shade Pink and a SKIRT has begun to creep back into my Wardrobe. The shade Pink was always a colour I feared most when growing up. I was always fighting the cause of not being a girly girl, and was more into climbing trees and making ropes swings, so PINK to me, was just not doing it for me. Then fast forward to my wedding. Here I was going to make one of the most important decisions of my life, No, not saying YES that was a given (he is a Hairdresser, what is there not to love) but what will be my colour theme for the up and coming nuptials. There it was winking at me and not to be the one to follow the crowd I blurted out “its going to be PINK.” My florist just starred, and said “but Pink hasn’t been done for years” I knew then I had made the right choice.
Back to the present and last summer I purchased this little Gem from George @Asda. When Autumn arrived I stored it away as lace always comes around every Spring/Summer, I knew it was a keeper. So here we are and low and behold Pink is back, and so is Lace. With this in mind I thought I would put together 3 ways of wearing this great skirt.

George Pink lace Skirt (similar)in black though!
Zara lace-up pointed pumps (similar)

George pink lace Skirt (similiar in blue)
Cable Knit Jumper (handmade by my mother-in-law)
Black Leather Rucksack

Skirt same as above
Nude Heels New Look (last season) similar
Topshop Black Snake Clutch
What new looks are you trying out this Spring? Or maybe you might feel like trying a new colour, like myself with PINK. Let me know in the comments below.
Next week I will be doing my Main Job which is being a Full time Mummy while taking our brood away for a well deserved “family time”. So, I will not be posting next week. Don’t worry you can keep up to date on my other social media channels, click on the links below.
